Pages, URLs & shortcode
How the jobs page, its automatic addresses and the [wpjc_jobs] shortcode work.
The whole board runs from one WordPress page — by default Jobs at /jobs/, created on activation. All other board and account screens get their own address under that page automatically; you do not create extra pages.
Board addresses#
With pretty permalinks and the jobs page at /jobs/:
| Address | Screen |
|---|---|
/jobs/ |
Board home: hero with search, featured employers and one column each for Premium Plus, Premium and Basic jobs. |
/jobs/all/ |
All jobs: every open job, paged, with search and filters. |
/jobs/employers/ |
Employers: all companies with open jobs. |
/jobs/account/ |
Jobs account overview (signed-in users). |
/jobs/account/applications/ |
My applications |
/jobs/account/saved/ |
Bookmarks |
/jobs/account/alerts/ |
Job alerts (…/alerts/new/ creates one) |
/jobs/account/jobs/ |
My job ads (…/jobs/new/ is “Post a job”) |
/jobs/account/received/ |
Applications received |
/jobs/account/companies/ |
My companies (…/companies/new/ is “Add a company”) |
If you rename the page or move it under a parent page (for example /careers/jobs/), the addresses follow it automatically.
?wpjc_view=all and ?wpjc_account=alerts. When you switch to pretty permalinks, old parameter links are redirected to the clean addresses.Jobs account screens are private: they are not cached and are marked noindex for search engines.
The [wpjc_jobs] shortcode#
[wpjc_jobs] shows the jobs board. It is already on the jobs page; you can also place it on any other page. A keyword search or a filter switches the board to a results list.
