Jobs dashboard#

Jobs → Dashboard shows the board at a glance: counts (open jobs, jobs waiting for review, Premium listings, jobs that expire within 7 days, employers, applications sent), the latest jobs with their status, a setup checklist and shortcuts. The checklist covers the jobs page, choosing the look, adding the first employer, publishing a job, adding a contact e-mail and registering the licence.

The WordPress Dashboard also gets a Jobs board widget with the main counts, the latest jobs and quick links. With the News. theme, the jobs board is linked from the News. panel as well.

Look & colours#

Setting What it does
Board look Inside the theme (site header and footer) or Standalone portal (own header, footer and styles).
Board style Only shown when the Looks add-on adds premium looks. The default look stays available.
Demo look switcher Off, Admins only or Everyone (demo site). A “Looks” tab on the right edge of the board lets people try board styles in their own browser; your settings do not change. Links like /jobs/?wpjc-look=market open a look directly. Turn it Off before going live.
Header (standalone) Jobs portal header (logo, icon menu, bookmarks and profile) or News. site header (needs the News. theme).
Board name Empty = “{Site name} Jobs”.
Board logo (light backgrounds) For a white header. Empty = the News. dark logo, or the board name as text without News.
Board logo (dark backgrounds) White or light wordmark for dark headers such as Marketplace.
Logo height on computers / phones (px) 16–80 and 16–60. Empty follows the News. theme logo, or a default size.
Maximum logo width (px) 40–400. Empty = automatic. Keeps wide logos from pushing the menu.
Logo label A short word next to the logo, like “Jobs”. Empty = hidden.
Logo label colour Theme colour (the board accent) or a custom colour.
Accent colour Used for the hero, buttons, links, Premium Plus badges and highlights. Theme colour follows the News. brand colour.
Hero image Optional cut-out on the right of the hero. Use a transparent PNG, about 700 × 900 px (shown 300 px tall). Hidden on small screens.

Board#

Setting What it does
Hero title, Hero intro Text at the top of the board.
Search placeholder Hint text in the search field.
Jobs per tier column 1–30 jobs in each Premium Plus, Premium and Basic column on the board home.
Featured employers 0–48 employers in the row on the board home. 0 hides the row.
Jobs per page 6–96, for All jobs and search results.
New job ads Review job ads posted in the jobs account before they go live. You get an e-mail for each ad waiting for review.
Max listing days 7–120. The longest period a user can choose for a job ad.
CVs and photos Keep application files on the site so employers can download them. Files are stored in a protected folder; only the employer of the job ad and site editors can download them.
Delete files after 7–365 days. The application record stays; only the CV and photo are deleted.

Contact & links#

  • Contact e-mail — shown under the hero; receives the “waiting for review” e-mails (otherwise the site admin e-mail does).
  • Contact phone
  • Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn — profile addresses.

Sample content#

Create sample jobs adds 5 demo employers and 12 jobs (Premium Plus, Premium and Basic, some with photos). They are marked as samples; Remove sample jobs deletes them again, photos included. Your own jobs are never touched. Sample jobs do not trigger job alert e-mails.

System status#

Shows the JobCore, WordPress and PHP versions, the theme, the jobs page, the permalink setting, the upload limits and whether e-mail sending is available. Items that need attention get a warning mark. Include this information when you contact support.
