Fonts & custom fonts

News. → Typography: fonts for body text, headlines and article text, loaded from Google Fonts, self-hosted (copied to your server once — GDPR-friendly, the default) or system fonts only.

Custom fonts (e.g. your newspaper’s own typeface): under Custom font 1 / 2 enter a name, choose serif or sans-serif and pick the Regular file (Bold and Italic optional) from the Media Library — News. Core allows WOFF2, WOFF, TTF and OTF uploads for administrators. The font then appears in the font lists above and is always loaded from your own server. Use WOFF2 files where you can, and check that your font licence allows web use.
