Verification#
Paste the code — or the whole meta tag — for Google Search Console (“HTML tag” method), Bing Webmaster Tools, Yandex or Pinterest. Only the code is kept.
Google Analytics & Tag Manager#
| Setting | What it does |

| Google Analytics 4 | Your measurement ID (G-…), from Admin → Data streams. You can paste Google’s whole code; only the ID is kept. |
| Google Tag Manager | Your container ID (GTM-…). Leave Analytics empty if your Analytics tag is set up inside Tag Manager. |
| Consent Mode | On by default: Google stores nothing until the visitor agrees in your cookie banner (Consent Mode v2). Banners that support the WP Consent API, such as Complianz or CookieYes, are connected automatically. |
| Your own visits | Off by default: logged-in editors and administrators are not counted. |
If Site Kit, MonsterInsights, ExactMetrics or GTM4WP is active, Core SEO warns you: if that plugin already adds Analytics, leave these fields empty, or every visit is counted twice.
