Licence, updates & demo

Under News. → Licence enter your licence key (from your purchase e-mail or your account on our site). Registration enables:

• Automatic updates for the theme and News. Core in Dashboard → Updates;
• Demo content — stories, pages, menus and images of the preview sites, downloaded from our server.

Nothing else depends on registration. One licence covers one live site; local and staging sites (*.local, *.test, staging.*, …) don’t count. To move a site, click Deactivate on this site first. Only the key, the site address, an anonymous site ID and version numbers are sent — no visitor data.

Demo import#

News. → Demo Import installs one News content package (categories, tags, authors, stories, pages, menus and the front page). After import you pick a design style (Newspaper, Magazine, Business, Sport, …) — the same stories and layout blocks, restyled. Running import again refreshes the demo without duplicates; Remove demo content deletes exactly what the importer created — your own content is never touched. Demo images are for preview only; replace them before going live.
