AI settings & your API key
Connect your own Anthropic API key, and choose the model, language and tone.
The AI features of Core SEO Premium run on your own Anthropic API key: no subscription and no markup — you pay Anthropic only for what you use, usually a few cents per page.
Add your key#
- Create a key in the Anthropic Console: console.anthropic.com → API keys.
- Paste it under Core SEO → AI settings and save. The key stays on your site.
Settings#
| Setting | What it does |

| Model | Claude Opus 5.5 — best writing (default); Claude Sonnet 5.5 — fast, about half the cost; Claude Haiku 4.5 — fastest and cheapest. |
| Workspace ID | Only for organisation-wide keys. |
| Language | Empty = the language of each page. |
| Tone of voice | Optional, for example “friendly and plain, we say you”. |
Privacy#
Only when someone uses an AI feature, the page title, focus keyphrase and the start of the text are sent from your site to the Anthropic API. Nothing is sent to Xolius. Anthropic’s terms and privacy policy apply to that data.
If the AI does not answer#

| The API key was not accepted | Check the key in the Anthropic Console, or create a new one. |
| Too many requests or no credit left | Wait a moment, or add credit in the Anthropic Console. |
| The AI service is busy | Try again in a minute. |
| The secure connection cannot be verified | Usually an antivirus that inspects HTTPS on your own computer (for example a “Web Shield”): add an exception for api.anthropic.com. |
