Paid Listings
Sell job ads with WooCommerce: packages set the tier, run time and number of ads.
JobCore – Paid Listings sells job ads through WooCommerce. Employers pick a package when they post a job and pay at the checkout; the ad goes live when the order is paid.
Requirements#
- JobCore
- WooCommerce 8.0 or newer
Without WooCommerce the add-on shows “Paid Listings needs WooCommerce.” with an Install WooCommerce or Activate WooCommerce button. Until WooCommerce is active, posting jobs stays free.
Jobs → Paid listings#
The screen is in the sidebar under Add-ons → Paid listings.
- Paid job ads — New job ads need a package. While no package is for sale, posting stays free.
- Packages — a table with each package’s tier, run time, number of ads, price and status. Add package creates a new one; Create default packages adds starter packages for tiers that have none.
Packages#
Packages are WooCommerce products of the type Job package. What a package gives comes from three values on the product: its tier (Premium Plus, Premium or Basic), the number of days it runs and the number of ads it includes. Rename packages, change prices or add bundles (for example 5 Premium ads) freely.
When WooCommerce is first active, three starter packages are created once (each one ad for 30 days, hidden from the shop catalogue): Premium Plus job ad (75), Premium job ad (50) and Basic job ad (25), in your store currency. Packages you delete do not come back.
How a paid job ad works#
- The employer fills in “Post a job” and picks a package (or one of their prepaid ads).
- The ad is saved as “Awaiting payment” and the package goes to the WooCommerce checkout.
- When the order is paid, the ad goes live (or to review, if review is on) with the package’s tier. Its run time starts the day it goes live.
- Bundles keep the remaining ads on the account for later job ads, without paying again.
- Refunded or cancelled orders take the ad offline and remove unused prepaid ads.
